On March 11, 2025, a delegation of teachers from the School of Mechanical and Automation visited Wu Feng Grain Machinery Co., Ltd. in Hubei (hereinafter referred to as "Wu Feng Grain Machinery") for on-site investigation and exchange. The two sides had in-depth discussions on issues such as student internship training, job placement matching, and industry-academia-research project cooperation, and initially reached a cooperation intention to build a school-enterprise collaborative education base.
Accompanied by the person in charge of production at Wufeng Grain Machinery, the teachers from the college visited the grain machinery production line and the product research and development center, and learned in detail about the manufacturing process and technological innovation achievements of the rice milling machine equipment. At the symposium, the person in charge of Wufeng Grain Machinery introduced the talent demand and career development system of the enterprise, and proposed to provide internship positions and "one-to-one" mentor guidance for students majoring in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, and Mechanical and Electronic Engineering; the technical team also had in-depth exchanges with the teachers from our college around the technical difficulties in the research and development of the rice milling machine.
The inspection provides new ideas for deepening the integration of industry with education, said Xiong Wanbin, Party secretary of the School of Mechanical and Automation. The college will optimize practical courses based on the needs of enterprises and plans to sign a cooperation agreement with Wu Feng to push students' "internship employment" seamless connection. The general manager of Wu Feng emphasized that school-enterprise cooperation can not only train urgently needed talents in the industry, but also promote the transformation and upgrading of technology. It is expected that in the future, a win-win situation will be achieved in talent training and technological research.
